Mukhya Mantri Atmanirbhar Asom (MMAA)
Government of Assam has launched a new scheme to generate employment opportunities through the Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme. The Mukhya Mantri Atmanirbhar Asom (MMAA) Scheme will provide financial assistance. 2 Lakh eligible beneficiaries will be selected over 2 years and will be provided Financial Assistance with government grants plus an Interest-Free Government Loan to be repaid after 5 years. Also, the selected beneficiaries will undergo a 1-month training programme to enhance entrepreneurship, management and accounting skills. The beneficiaries will receive Rs.10,000 as a stipend during the training period.

Eligibility of Assam Government Rs.2 Lakh Loan
The eligibility for the Mukhya Mantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme has not been declared yet. The qualification and other criteria will be declared on 23 September 2023. Assam Government Loan and Repayment Details
Atmanirbhar Scheme Assam will benefit 2 lakh people over the next 2 years. 1 lakh beneficiaries will receive 1 lakh rupees in the financial year 2023-2024 and another one lakh in the next financial year upon performance. There will be no interest on the loan amount as it is a government-funded loan. Beneficiaries will have to submit the loan amount only after 5 years. The loan tenure or the duration of repaying is not mentioned yet.
Training Program
The selected beneficiaries will have to undergo a 1-month training programme during which the applicant will receive Rs.10,000 as a stipend. The training programme will enhance entrepreneurship, management and accounting skills. Applicants must be able to attend the classes of selected educational/skill training institutes.
